Minimum Age: 15 / 18 if active status
Certification Prerequisites: Diver Stress & Rescue certification, 40 logged Dives, certification or equivalent experience: Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility, Deep Diving.
Open Water Dives: 10 or at least 50 total
Maximum Training Depth: 40 meters / 130 feet
Suggested Duration: 35 - 45 hours

This program gives you the skills and experience required to safely lead groups of certified divers, and is the first step towards an exciting career as an SSI Professional without requiring you to complete an instructor program. Professional Dive Guides can work for SSI Training Centers, guiding dives in a variety of environments and conditions. You will earn the SSI Dive Guide certification after completing this program.

Become a professional diver!
This course is the first step to becoming a Scuba Diving professional, but also a challenge for a diver interested in personal development.
As Divemaster (dive guide) you will gain the knowledge and experience to supervise and assist instructors during courses.



Minimum Age: 18
Certification Prerequisites: Divemaster, 60 logged dives
Suggested Duration: 30 - 75 hours

This program provides the skills, concepts, and teaching experience required to become a successful SSI Instructor. You will learn the SSI Teaching System and philosophy, how to assist Instructors in training and how to independently teach a variety of SSI training programs. Candidates who complete this program can earn the SSI Assistant Instructor rating or work all the way through to the SSI Open Water Instructor after having successfully passed the Instructor Evaluation in addition.



The SSI open water instructor is the most important job in the entire dive industry – certifying new divers, and ensuring they have an amazing learning experience.

General Information

For all the courses described we give you two options of approach and the corresponding prices .
Those options are described as OPTION 1 and OPTION 2


We follow the programs as described below (section Professional programs )
Upon completion of the chosen program, you do your theory exams and « in water evaluation ».
If and only if you are successful and all the criteria are met you can be certified and receive your professionalism evaluation form.
Then we can negotiate a job contract by us on mutual agreement.


-Dive Guide : 650 € / 2 weeks
-Dive Master: 350€ / 2 weeks (total with D.G incl. a month min)
-Dive Control Specialist : 1150 € / 4 weeks ( I.T.C training kit is included )

*Courses may be prolonged, due to individual needs.

SCHEDULE: Preferably not in high season.(No immediate job offer )
We recommend: April till end June / September till mid December.


*OPTION II – Internship offer*

Do the same program spread out through the low and high season.
You gain experience, that money can’t buy and become a real pro.
The final step , becoming Instructor, should be then ,very easy.

We offer: free accommodation / Wi-Fi /pure olive oil,vegetables and fruit from our garden / one meal per day on high season.


-Dive Guide: 300€/ arrival: from April till latest mid May – departure : earliest, first week of September .
-Dive Master 150€/ arrival: from April till latest mid May – departure : earliest, first week of September .
-Dive Control Specialist ( I.T.C training kit is included ) : 600€/ arrival: from April till latest mid May – departure : earliest, first week of September

(high season : July,August)

Minimum Dive Professional Equipment
During all open water training, each SSI Dive Professional must be equipped with at least all student equipment, plus a dive computer, a deployable surface marker buoy (SMB), a surface emergency signalling device, a cutting device and a compas.

Candidates for SSI Dive Professional programs must use a professional-level Total Diving System.

NOTE: SSI Dive Professionals may conduct open water training dives for non entry-level programs on a rebreather or sidemount configuration if they have all the components of a Total Diving System.

Physical Material is not included in the prices Physical material is described below.

ATTENTION – For various programs Cue Cards/Wetnotes and/or Evaluation Slates must be purchased mandatorily by each Dive Professional directly from the Dive Center / Dive Resort for RECREATIONAL SCUBA, EXTENDED RANGE, CCR DIVING & CCR EXTENDED RANGE, FREEDIVING:

• DIVE PROFESSIONAL BASE PACKAGE – Must be purchased by each Dive Professional when entering the SSI System by attending a Training Progam at any level or a Crossover

• CUE CARDS & EVALUATION SLATES – Must be purchased by each Dive Professional in addition to the DIVE PROFESSIONAL BASE PACKAGE for all progams the candidate qualifies for by attending a Training Program or a Crossover
